Photo's of Class 37 locomotives. Introduced in 1960 as part of the British Rail modernisation plan, and were manufactured by English Electric's Vulcan Foundry at Newton-le-Willows, and Robert Stephenson and Hawthorns of Darlington. They have been used all across the country by British Railways on just about any working you could think of, and into privitisation used by DB Schenker Rail (UK) Ltd. (EWS), DRS and West Coast Railway Company. Their number has declined sharply over the last 10 to 15 years after introduction by newer locomotives, but are still in use around the network and in preservation.

Units in the collection are;
